Tekfen in IPLOCA's New Board

The International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association's (IPLOCA) new Board was elected during its annual convention held in San Fransisco between Sept 14-18. Osman Birgili, Tekfen Construction's Senior Vice President figures among the new Board Members as 2^nd Vice President to the newly elected President Wynne Hughes. With 250 members from more than 40 countries, IPLOCA represents the key players in the onshore and offshore pipeline construction industry worldwide. With a mission is to provide value to its members through a forum for sharing ideas, engaging the industry and its stakeholders, facilitating business opportunities and promoting the highest standards in the pipeline industry, IPLOCA members actively take part in a series of workshops, committees and great number of periodic meetings to this end as well as its yearly convention. IPLOCA is highly committed to strict HSE (Helath, Safety, Environment) policy and is devoted to promote its aspects through workshops, seminars as well as annual prizes in various project and categories to motivate its members commitment to the same values.

Tekfen Construction has been an active member of IPLOCA eversince the association's founding in 1966, Mr. Necati Akçaglilar, founding partner of Tekfen also figuring amog IPLOCA's founding members and assuming its presindency in 1976 to be followed later on by Murat Gigin, Tekfen Holding Board Member who presided the association in 1995.
